Serum 25(OH)D, 1,25(OH) 2D, and PTH at baseline were not statistically different among the three groups. There were no statistically significant differences in gender, age, education level, smoking status, physical activity level, BMI, time spent outdoors on weekdays or weekends, frequency of dietary intake of vitamin D-rich foods, or sunscreen use among the three intervention groups. Median time spent outdoors on weekdays and weekends was 0.8 and 1.5 hours/day, respectively. Among participants, the education level was higher than a college degree in 81.4%, 32.2% were current smokers, and 20.3% were physically inactive. The median age was 33 years old with median BMI of 23.2 kg/m 2. The baseline characteristics of participants (n = 59, 31 men and 28 women) are shown in Table 1.
